Make your mark for patients

We are looking for an Ethics & Compliance US Lead to join us in our Ethics and Compliance Rare Disease team, based in our Atlanta, Georgia office.

About the role

You will provide expert advice to ensure appropriate development, interpretation and implementation of compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and programs for assigned geography. Implement and secure a robust UCB E&C program ensuring that requirements for E&C are effectively implemented.

Participate in US RDO leadership teams and other governance bodies to provide E&C focused input and leadership, including independent perspectives and advice on strategy and tactical plans and activities, as well as regular updates to senior management on E&C related matters as needed.

Implement US E&C Governance to support implementation of robust E&C principles in partnership with RDO business leaders.

Who you'll work with

You will collaborate with the Ethics & Compliance leadership team and peers to embed and foster an ethical mindset and culture as well as designing, implementing and continuously improving an effective compliance program across UCB organizations.

What you'll do

  • Implement compliance strategies, policies, procedures and programs
  • Support the compliance risk management program to identify and effectively manage compliance obligations for UCB
  • Collaborate with E&C global resources by informing about US needs/problems, share existing best practices and solutions (in view of scaling up), co-create global solutions (incl. regional pilot), support implementation and monitor solution impact
  • Support business stakeholders by providing independent perspectives and advice utilizing E&C insights
  • Assist the UCB related sites in the development of educational plans, materials and resources to educate employees in the overall objectives of the Compliance Program and specific substantive areas of compliance for their organization.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CCEP/CCP-I or alternative E&C Education Program
  • Healthcare regulatory and/or consulting experience of at least 5 years.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • Law (J.D.)
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
  • In depth understanding of key US business integrity topics
  • Hands on experience in operating compliance controls and understanding of industry best practices related to compliance controls
  • In depth understanding of key US business integrity topics
  • Excellent and effective communication skills including group presentations, and one-on-one interactions with employees at all levels
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility and trust throughout the company
  • Discreet and able to protect confidential information

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $141,760 to $186,060 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
