Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Surgery Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Sep 24, 2024 Deadline Oct 24, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Divisions of Trauma & Surgical Critical Care. The successful applicant will have a significant research track record and practice clinically within the realm of trauma and critical care. Applicants should have an academic focus with interest and commitment to clinical practice, medical education and research. Candidates must be BE/BC in general surgery and critical care. Existing research funding is desirable, but not required. Academic rank will commensurate with experience. We extend this opportunity to a board-certified/board-eligible general critical care surgeon. Successful candidates should possess excellent clinical skills as well as significant research experience and a strong interest in teaching. The position includes participation in education efforts for the ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program and our fellowship programs. Compensation is very competitive and benefits are comprehensive.
