The Role

GovExec seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk with 3-4 years of experience to join our finance team. Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Bill.com, NetSuite, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You will focus on ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining up-to-date records of financial transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Process, review, and verify a high volume of invoices and payments accurately and timely.
  • Enter and reconcile invoices in Bill.com and NetSuite.
  • Manage accounts payable workflow, ensuring all payments are processed within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Maintain vendor records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accounts payable reconciliations.
  • Generate reports and assist in auditing processes as needed.
  • Provide support with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist the Accounts Receivable team.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience in an account's payable role.
  • Proficiency in Bill.com, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies.

The compensation range for this role is $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
