RSM has an opening for a Senior Associate focused on Business Intelligence in our Technology Consulting Practice. This is a client-facing role focusing on the sale, implementation, and support of Business Intelligence products and services for health care organizations. You will work closely with Project Managers and fellow Consultants in conducting multiple client projects ranging from consulting services, customization design, and technical support, to full implementation. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects of design and construction of health care Business Intelligence solutions. They will be a problem solver, creative thinker, fast learner, be detail-oriented, and interested in learning their clients' business.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients and prospects in their evaluation of Business Intelligence solutions providing information and demonstrations to help them assess fit for their business

  • Design, architect, implement and support simple to complex enterprise data warehouses using Microsoft SQL on-premises or cloud technologies including Azure and Snowflake

  • Scope the implementation services required to help clients achieve their objectives including clinical details and health care KPIs.

  • Ensure completion of tasks, milestones, and components including but not limited to functional specifications, design specifications, configurations, quality assurance, implementations, and project reviews

  • Spearheads development of logical and physical data models, and ETL development, as needed

  • Building reports, dashboards and scorecards using a variety of tools

  • Train end users and system administrators

  • Provide clients with ongoing technical support and troubleshooting

  • Lead additional optimization projects as clients businesses change and grow

  • Work on multiple projects at the same times

  • Interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and minimum 3 years of related work experience degree with an emphasis in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Health Care

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine (database development and tuning), Azure Data Factory, SQL Server -Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)Experience using T-SQL scripts (stored procedures, views, functions etc.) to manipulate data and simplify access to data

  • Also will consider strong Oracle, SAP Hana, Microstrategy, and/or Snowflake analytics experience

  • Experience with data modeling (3NF and dimensional data models), understanding of the appropriate purpose for each

  • Strong focus and ability to manage and construct Dimensional Data Warehouses

  • Deep understanding of health care data and business model

  • Knowledge of data sources and models from multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) including Epic or Cerner

  • FHIR or HL7 experience preferred

  • Experience with designing visualizations in multiple BI tools including Tableau and PowerBI

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with clinicians and health care leadership

  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels

  • Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Must be a team player; able to work in virtual teams and independently

  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to speak about technology in the language of health care

  • Curiosity about business and technology

  • Experience with the following will be a plus: SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)QlikView/QlikSense SharePoint Microsoft SQL Server

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $82,400 - $156,200

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
