Overview

The incumbent is primarily responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of plant instrumentation and CCTV equipment of the plant by maintaining, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting and creating documentation for process instrumentation equipment. The incumbent must be willing to work rotating shifts and in a hot environment.

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $23.95-$38.06.00 hr. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.



Responsibilities

    Review Process Data to detect any signs of equipment issues or failures and act accordingly
  • Ensure operation of the CCTV system used to monitor the process throughout the facility
  • Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, test, calibrate equipment to include analog devices, PLC's HMI's, SCADA systems, computer and peripheral troubleshooting and repairs, visions systems, transmitters (pressure, flow, pH, etc.)
  • Create documentation for equipment in the glass making plant.
  • Calibrate/Repair/Maintain the Continuous Emission Monitoring System(CEMS)
  • Work independently
  • Respond to calls for process issues caused by process instrumentation
  • Perform equipment installations and improvements
  • Follow all safety rules and leading by example
  • The incumbent makes recommendations and determines quantities and potential work time for proposed upgrades, installations, repairs and projects,
  • Maintains clean and orderly conditions in all working areas, and
  • Ensures duties are performed in a fiscally responsible manner


Qualifications

  • An associate degree in electronic or related fields
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, motion controllers and basic computer skills
