Role The Tampa, Florida office of Milliman, an international firm of actuaries and consultants is seeking a candidate for an actuarial internship during the Fall/Summer of 2024 and 2025. In this role, the intern will be exposed to projects across all aspects of the health actuarial space. The successful candidate will review, organize, and analyze statistical data; develop and utilize actuarial models; analyze healthcare costs and utilization data; implement software solutions under actuaries' supervision. As well, they would assist our Analysts and Consultants in the development, checking, and utilization of actuarial models to further completion of timely deliverables. This position provides an excellent entrance into the actuarial field and will provide building blocks to a successful actuarial career. Compensation The salary range for this role is $19 - $36, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. The expected application deadline for this job is October 15, 2024. Location This role is based out of the Milliman office in Tampa, FL, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.
