Department: Accounting Reports to: Senior Accounting Treasury Analyst Status: Non-Exempt Grade: 7 Pay range: $20.50 - $35.99 Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Hybrid within MA, CT, NY, VT, RI Purpose/Objective: Assists the Senior Accounting Treasury Analyst, VP Assistant Controller - Financial Reporting, and the SVP Chief Investment Officer in the investment reporting functions of the Bank. Manages the Bank investment sub-ledger system including ensuring data input, data accuracy of purchases and sales, and reconciliation to the general ledger. Ensures coordination with other key Bank financial systems including the general ledger. Generates various GAAP and regulatory accounting reports and creates presentations for review by the finance team and lines of business. Key Accountabilities: * Responsible for the care, custody, and accounting of the Bank's investment securities sub-ledger. Analyzes information from internal sources and determines appropriate accounting reporting treatment for investment and borrowings. Facilitates Electronic Data Interchange communications between investment sub-ledger and general ledger. 40% * Develops various reports regarding the Bank's investment portfolios (investment portfolios by type and life, credit rating, cash flow analysis and roll forward, etc.) that provides information on the investment securities for reporting purposes. Prepares investment securities notes to the financial statements and schedule RC-B for the Call report in addition to ad-hoc reports as requested by the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, or other senior management. 30% * Reconciles the general ledger system and investment sub-ledger for all related investment general ledger accounts. Runs and reviews reports for accuracy. Corrects all rejected entries to the general ledger. Research problems and reports issues to appropriate manager. Makes correcting entries as needed. 30% * Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
