Overview Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL) is hiring for services in support of our partnership with Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO) Central Characterization Program (CCP). ATL will perform safe and compliant waste characterization and certification activities at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The purpose of the waste characterization is to confirm the Acceptable Knowledge (AK) of national defense-generated Contact-Handled (CH) Transuranic (TRU), and CH Mixed TRU Waste. This position is for a Visual Examination Operator, who will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining qualifications as CCP VEO1 - VEO2. (Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Performs high-quality visual examination of all waste slated for transport to the WIPP facility following the conduct of operations policies and procedures.
