What will I do as a Development Associate?

This position offers an exciting opportunity in the field of nonprofit development. In partnership with the Director of Advancement, Catholic Charities team members, and agency leaders, you will impact fundraising capabilities and support donor relationships that further our mission to provide service for people in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same.

As a Development Associate you will:

  • Master your experience in donor-centered direct mail campaigns
  • Conduct efficient end-to-end campaign/gift processing and acknowledgement
  • Maintain up-to-date donor records to ensure successful communications
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and system administration while working with funding software (Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge)
  • Interact with donors and people seeking services by phone, email, and in person
  • Engage in prospect research to develop new relationships for the agency



Salary: $39,000 to 45,000 DOE

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Five years' experience in database management or data entry with considerable computer work
  • Nonprofit experience providing support for fundraising operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Occasional attendance at evening or weekend events is required
