Summary:

Nisga'a TEK, LLC is looking for a Network Administrator. This person will be responsible to Install, configure, support LAN, WAN and internet/network systems, monitor network availability to all users and perform maintenance of network, servers.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Install operating systems needed to run the various applications Provide/implement general best practices and security posture
  • Provide critical thinking & troubleshooting abilities
  • Monitors the assigned network, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime
  • Monitors and analyzes network load including traffic and utilization trends
  • Ensures networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network security staff
  • Drafts checklists, processes, and support trees, and knowledge bases for help desk and other support staff Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical knowledge of: Windows Server Domain Administration Active Directory & Group Policy Remote Desktop Services Firewall Security Exchange Server & Email Filtering VMware Administration SAN Administration Switching/Routing (Cisco/HP) VOIP / Faxing Backup & Continuity
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Strong attention to detail Customer service and interpersonal experience
  • Thorough understanding of networking protocols, LAN networking, and WAN networking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in computer program requirements definition, design, programming, and debugging
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in software and technical systems customer service and support
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Windows server maintenance, configuration, and support SPR/SAR access, DCID 6/4 eligible with current SSBI DoD 8570.01-M IA Certification matched to assigned duties.
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Top Secret clearance
