Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Digital Operations Manager.

This role will oversee the project management operations (PMO) for content production across digital and web platforms. Reporting to the MarTech Project Lead (Senior Manager), this role is critical in ensuring the efficient coordination and execution of digital projects, managing external freelancers and vendors, upholding high standards of quality, and timely delivery of content.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Management Oversight

    • Develop and implement project management processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity
    • Oversee PMO for content production across digital and web platforms, leveraging institutional project management software to traffic and track progress of content development
    • Monitor project timelines and milestones, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to meet deadlines

Vendor and Freelancer Management

    • Manage relationships with freelancers, vendors, and other external partners involved in digital content production
    • Coordinate and oversee external web teams, ensuring that deliverables are received on time and meet the organizations expectations and contractual obligations
    • Maintain budget documentation and track monthly expenses
    • Track invoices and SOWs to ensure budget documentation is accurate and up to date

Quality Assurance

    • Implement quality control measures to ensure that digital content has been trafficked through necessary approvals, QC and QA so that it is of high quality and free from errors
    • Manage processes to ensure efficient workflows, address and resolve any issues (i.e content quality and approvals), working closely with content creators, key stakeholders and technical teams to make necessary adjustments

Collaboration and Communication

    • Facilitate communication between internal (within and outside the department) and external teams and contributors to ensure clarity of project requirements and alignment of goals
    • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, challenges, and achievements through reports and presentations
    • Collaborate with marketing, content, and technical teams to ensure a comprehensive yet efficient approach to digital content production
    • Work closely with the Sr. Manager to delegate and oversee the completion of operational tasks, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to project timelines
    • Skilled in leading project meetings to align agendas, ensure clear communication, identify key issues, facilitate decisions, and summarize actionable items post-meeting.
    • Ability to assess and identify issues that need escalation based on impact and urgency, foresee potential roadblocks to prevent critical problems, and follow up to ensure timely resolution and feedback.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement

    • Identify areas for improvement in digital processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and output quality
    • Monitor performance of digital operations and stay updated with the latest trends in digital operations and project management to continuously refine and advance operational strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in digital project management, operations management, or a closely related field
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Project Management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a keen understanding of digital marketing platforms and analytics
  • Experience managing external vendors and freelancers
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating and managing relationships with external partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software
    Experience with web and social content creation process
    Experience in the healthcare industry

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $110,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
