Suture Specialist II Float Pool (EMT-B or EMT-P)
Overview **0.4 FTE, 16 hrs/week, 8-hr shift varies between the hours of 11a-3a** Base pay $21.50/hr plus applicable shift differentials. Benefits eligible. Position requires a signed contract acknowledging 12-month paid training program and commitment to remain in this position for additional 18 months after training program complete. Under the direction of the Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care Practitioners, assists in the evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care of patients with minor and major cutaneous trauma, as well as orthopedic injuries. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Practitioners assist with the care of emergency services patients. Why Nationwide Children's Hospital? Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of the patients and families
Suture Orthopedic Requirements: Program requires up to a one (1) year on-boarding training program and Memorandum of Understanding Expectations employment commitment of eighteen months (18) to the Suture Ortho Program following completion of the on-boarding training program. Certifications: Current BLS-CPR Certification Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, must complete annual Suture Orthopedic Competencies, Suture Labs and In-Service Education requirements.
