Cox Automotive is seeking an experienced, passionate, hands-on User Experience Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage a team of UX Architects tasked with creating outstanding personalized experiences for Dealer Solutions. In addition, you will team up with colleagues from Product Management and Engineering to guide product discovery and design efforts for an agile release train. The Cox Automotive work environment is highly collaborative and requires excellent communication skills and a keen ability to build and foster strong partnerships across organizational boundaries. Our UX team comprises a diverse mix of skills. You must have solid experience managing UX architects in growing user-centered design techniques, using data to drive design outcomes, and prioritizing work to support multiple Scrum teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead UX architects to create innovative, re-usable design solutions that thrill consumers while delivering measurable business value
  • Facilitate design workshops with stakeholders using design thinking techniques to explore user needs and design concepts from multiple perspectives
  • Partner with user research and analytics to identify improvements and evaluate the effectiveness of the solutions implemented
  • Engage in enterprise thinking across product lines and services to identify new product ideas
  • Work with the Director of User Experience to prioritize work, leveraging a strong understanding of the business while advocating for users throughout the product lifecycle
  • Promote close collaboration between UX team members, Product and Engineering and other teams to produce high-quality design deliverables and ensure designs are delivered as specified
  • Leverage and extend our Interstate design system to promote brand consistency and re-use of functional components across our products
  • Present design work to peers and business leaders to gain consensus
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and help set goals with the team to foster and encourage career growth


WHO YOU ARE

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on design experience creating wireframes, prototypes and related design documentation for web and mobile experiences
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 1+ years of experience directly managing UX resources to deliver with quality against aggressive deadlines
  • A portfolio of past work that demonstrates the effectiveness of your design solutions in meeting user needs while achieving business results
  • Knowledge of current UX design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms
  • Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Passion and experience working with engineering and product teams
  • Independent self-starter with excellent leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on completion of tasks
  • Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work on concurrent projects and quickly prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Figma
  • Familiarity with Pendo, Optimizely or Qualtrics
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or complementary area required (or equivalent work experience); Masters degree a plus


USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
