Responsibilities

This position will provide Administrative Security support to Special Access programs across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DOE). In this role you may support tasks that include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with marking requirement reviews for classified information to include involvement with conducting inventories, transmission of classified material and ensure accuracy of the Security Information Management System (SIMS) for classified materials.
  • Administer Visitor Control for various contracts and programs; verify security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and Foreign Visitors.
  • Provide security-related briefings, debriefings, and training as required by the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, contractually required and program customers.
  • Provide pre and post foreign travel briefings in accordance with government requirements.
  • Provide Alarm Response as required.
  • Track status of contracts and provide updates to the FSO.
  • Prepare visit requests for access to job sites based on appropriate clearance and need-to-know.
  • Administer badging and access requirements for personnel, including completing forms for government or other contractor facilities as required.
  • Manage security clearance process for employees, to include process personnel for new clearances, track and notify employees of periodic reinvestigations and/or Continuous Evaluation enrollment, manage the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) database, and Security Information Management System (SIMS) and related files.
  • Prepare and report adverse information requests via DISS/NISS, and reports to customers as directed by the contract.
  • Ability to assist with updating and tracking facility clearance documentation and related information as needed.
  • Support self-inspections for various programs and DCSA Enhanced Security Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Assist with supporting Special Access Programs.
  • Must be aware of present-day security issues and the ability to manage customer expectations, internal and external.
  • Ensure the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
  • Update databases and other required documents.
  • Escorting as required

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent security experience, to include 2-4 years of office administration and/or facility security experience, MS with 0-2 years of experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, DoD and DOE Directives, 5205.07 and ICDs, DCSA security and instruction manuals, and OPSEC principles.
  • Proficient with DISS, NISS and SIMS.
  • Current DCSA Certifications from CDSE.
  • Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a TS clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SIMS and Lenel preferred.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
