Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Receives, schedules, coordinates and dispatches request for services and performs patient registration functions. May control distribution of ambulance equipment and medications at shift change. Verifies operational readiness of crews Accepts calls requesting medical transportation services. Dispatches calls and tracks unit movements. Coordinates the delivery of service in a safe, courteous and efficient manner. Obtains and documents patient information necessary for appropriate utilization ofresourcesand reimbursement. Prepares written documentation Attends staff meetings Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned Experience - No experience required. One (1) yearexperience in a healthcare setting and/or emergency services dispatch preferred In Lieu Of N/A Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)or Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD)certification- Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize emergent and non-emergent requests for service Communication skills - Preferred Work Shift Variable (United States of America) Location Oconee Medical Campus Facility 1024 Prisma Health EMS Department 10247256 Ambulance Services Share your talent with us!
