Essential job functions are the fundamental duties of a position, the things a person holding the job absolutely must be able to do: Essential Job Functions % of Time * Descriptive Example Job and Crew Accountability 50% Technical lead at job site, supervises crew and responsible for overall performance Ensures that safe work practices are employed consistently on each job Responsible for all technical operation on assigned aircraft, engines or modification orders Monitors hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and approves technicians time on jobs Maintains proper communication to deliver customers products on time Appraises, recommends salary and other status changes, rewards, recognizes and disciplines members of the crew Job Organizing and Preparing 20% Pre plans work scope and action plans for incoming jobs Orders parts as required Deploys resources and assigns work to crew members May schedules arrivals and departures of aircrafts Paperwork and Documentation 15% Implements all paperwork related to job orders Accomplishes final review of work order documentation prior to submitting to quality Provides quotes for labor and parts needed when discrepancies Monitors progressive sign off to ensure completed Aircraft Maintenance 15% Technical expert on assigned fleet type Performs hand on maintenance as required Accomplishes preliminary, hidden damage and final inspection of aircraft or component Performs final walk around before aircraft departure Interacts with customers to provide technical guidance * Categories should represent no less than 5% of the incumbent's time.
