Finance Manager- Manufacturing Site

Dover Precision Components is hiring for a Finance Manager. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of permanent bearing protection and complete shaft sealing soultions for a variety of rotating equipment across multiple industries.We offer competitive pay and benefits and the ability to be a key accounting and finance leader onsite and within the Dover Precision Components' finance organization. This is a hybrid position- work remotely 2 days a week (if you'd like) and onsite 3 days a week in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Reporting into the Director of Finance, you will support achieving the goals of the wider Dover Precision Components finance team.
  • Serves as the site finance lead and partners with other site leaders to provide sound financial support and guidance.
  • Supports the business in driving operational efficiency by reviewing trends on manufacturing expenses.
  • Develop deep understanding of what metrics drive the business to effectively partner with site leadership to deliver improved processes and profitability.
  • Responsible for the monthly closing procedure with support from shared service center.
  • Reports out on the financial statements and provides excellent commentary on any variances to forecast.
  • Manages the annual operating plan and regular forecasting of site P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Responsible for balance sheet management including reconciliations, forecasting, and reporting out on key working capital metrics.
  • Works closely with Shared Service locations to ensure financial operations, systems and controls are aligned globally and optimized.
  • Prepare local tax packs for submission to Dover Corporate.
  • Support the business by analyzing and reviewing capital investment requests to ensure suitable ROI to achieve financial and operational goals
  • Take lead for the site to ensure controls are operating as designed to comply with Dover Core Internal Controls (CIC) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
  • Take lead for annual site physical inventory as well as perpetual cycle counting.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement culture. Utilize CI methods to raise accuracy, improve processing time, and enhance reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting and Finance roles, preferably within manufacturing environment. Experience to include financial statements, Annual Operating Plan, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Word and Power Point.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of information in area of responsibility.
  • Acumen for dealing with financial concepts and accuracy critical to position requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES

  • Master's degree.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
  • Strong ERP system experience.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and/or supervising others.
