Job Description

This role provides support services to the Business Units and/or plants through: (i) the running of commercial and operational reports andthe analysis of the data, (ii) actioning the findings of the data, and (iii) assisting in month/quarter/year-end financial processes. The Finance Analyst Sr role analyzes and actions solutions using standard procedures and has a moderate level of guidance and direction.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
  • Detailed customer and product profitability analysis (price and cost) and monitoring
  • Analyze operational results to identify trends, activities driving those trends, and work collaboratively with various groups, including Manufacturing Director, to make improvements
  • Management of concession and rebate rules supporting financial reporting
  • Support review and analysis of new commercial business opportunities
  • Limited support to a Plant Controller in day to day operational reviews
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Support various aspects of the monthly close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis)
  • Assist Business Unit Controller with annual budgeting process
  • Provide interim support during Plant Controller openings
  • Develop reports and queries from the financial data for analysis, tracking, and/or reporting data to other departments
  • Monitor and maintain internal accounting controlsto ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Amcor policies
  • Assist internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience -3+ years of experience in business/accounting/financial analytics
  • Strong desire to work hands on with Commercial and Operations teams
  • SAP/ERP experience preferred
  • Full working knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Travel up to 15%
