Overview

As part of the Research and Evaluation team at The Center for Family Safety and Healing, the Evaluation Analyst will help internal and external partners put measures in place to make the impact of our programs visible, and to empower teams to drive their work forward based on data. The ideal candidate is someone who's passionate about digging into data and making sense of it all; someone with tremendous curiosity for finding answers with data. The Evaluation Analyst provides leadership and assistance to programs in planning, designing, and executing program evaluation activities, and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports.

Responsibilities

    Work collaboratively across teams to design and execute program evaluations.
  • Coordinates and integrates evaluation efforts with quality improvement specialists and strategic planning staff so that program leaders and teams experience an organized and cohesive experience with their overall strategic planning, quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
  • Provide leadership regarding effective evaluation models, methods, and systems.
  • Develop data collection plans, processes and infrastructure, ensuring activities are feasible, right-sized, time effective and embed an equity lens.
  • Conducts other evaluation and applied research projects such as literature reviews, environmental scans and analysis of primary and secondary data.
  • Support the development and use of program metrics and reporting dashboards for continuous learning and improvement, as well as aggregation and trending across programs over time.
  • Utilize business intelligence (e.g., Power BI) tools to analyze data collected as part of program evaluations and develop reports, including program recommendations in a reliable and efficient manner.
  • Facilitate reflection, learning, documentation and use of results and lessons learned to encourage data-driven decisions, drive continuous improvement and institutionalize lessons learned.
  • Maintains an awareness of compassion fatigue due to the exposure to family violence and child maltreatment case information; stays informed of resources available to minimize job-related stress even though direct, patient care is not being performed.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Education:
    • * Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, or related field with relevant specialized training particularly with data analytics, business intelligence, or information management, required.
      * Master's Degree in Evaluation Studies, Psychology, Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, or related field, preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least three (3) years of directly related experience in conducting program evaluation, performance measurement and/or research in the social sciences.
    • Prior experience with victim services, child welfare, or domestic violence, preferred.
    • Experience designing and producing effective data visualizations (Power BI or similar)
    • Knowledge of various quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation methods and design.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate results verbally and in writing, including formal presentations and clearly designed reports.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective collaborative team relationships with program staff at all levels of the organization from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds and mindsets.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail oriented with proven strong work ethic and initiative.

  • Sitting, Flexing/extending of neck, hand usage: grasping, gripping, turning, repetitive hand/arm usage, use of computer skills, audible speech, hearing acuity, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, seeing- far/near, problem solving, decision making, and interpreting data- Continuously
