Job Summary:

The Analyst, Member Services will play a key role in supporting analytical needs across ArchWell Health's member services team. This will be a colleague who is motivated by the challenge of solving complex problems, conducting root cause analysis, and driving toward resolution. They will support the operational functions related to provider data management and member assignment. An ideal candidate will have technical acumen and a problem-solving mindset, with an interest in growth within healthcare operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Identify, monitor, and analyze member assignment by market to identify outliers and trends
  • Research member assignment issues, analyze data, present results, and recommend solutions to address business challenges by applying knowledge of member assignment, critical-thinking skills, and healthcare experience/expertise
  • Analyze membership to identify early signs of trends or other issues related to payor errors in reporting
  • Structure analytical results in an organized, visual manner to tell a meaningful, actionable story to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Interpret contractual language with a clear understanding of business rules around member attribution
  • Execute other duties and special projects as needed, focusing on knowledge and skills development

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and present solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to complete complex analyses, leading to actionable strategic and financial business decisions
  • Strong critical thinking skills to anticipate questions from key stakeholders and consider all aspects of an analysis before completion
  • Exhibit initiative in exploring and discovering opportunities to improve company performance through data analysis
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems succinctly and effectively for all levels of leadership
  • Ability to establish trusting, professional relationships with internal, senior stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and tackle new problems and opportunities as they arise
  • Ability and willingness to travel on occasion (up to 5%)


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred, with new graduates welcome to apply
  • Expertise in MS Excel, including proficiency using formulas, PivotTables, graphing and other reporting and presentation features
  • Project management and communication skills
  • Experience in consulting, managed care, and/or healthcare provider/payer settings (preferred)
