As a Real Estate Lease Administration Manager, you will oversee the company portfolio of retail store leases.

Using your experience with retail space leasing and your ability to interpret retail lease and contract language, you will play a key role in supporting our guests by:



  • Closely tracking and providing updates to the plan for the roll out of DXL stores
  • Tracking critical dates (renewal options, kick outs, rights to terminate and expirations) for existing stores and generating and maintaining several reports and weekly updates with respect to same
  • Ensuring that all stores with upcoming critical dates are addressed with management in a timely manner and following through with results while meeting critical established time frames
  • Negotiating lease extensions, rental rates, and termination of leases with landlords
  • Assisting with the site selection process including 3rd party relationships, and traveling to various markets to review potential new/relo locations
  • Providing offers/proposals/updates relative to the status of deals to the Real Estate Committee and attending monthly REC meetings.
  • Drafting and/or reviewing lease amendments and termination agreements with respect to existing stores
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of procedures to ensure the integrity of the lease database syste
  • Working closely with outside firms on buyouts and sublets and providing reports outlining the status
  • Reviewing and approving all monthly rental increases
  • Providing reports as requested in the lease database system for the Real Estate, Legal and Finance Departments


We're looking for someone:



  • With a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • With 5+ years of experience in management/leadership roles
  • Who has prior leasing and site selection experience in a retail chain or shopping center environment
  • Who is proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
