Pay:



  • Starting pay range: $30.00-32.00 per hour
  • $2.00 per hour shift differential for working 3rd shift
  • $2000 sign-on bonus

Shifts:



  • Current opening will be on evening/night shift, from 6pm-6am.
  • We require that you are flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for accomplishing assigned tasks on time and within budget. Must have excellent mechanical and electrical skills in project development as well as troubleshooting repairs and is a team player that is self-supervised with excellent communication and follow-up skills. Works indoors and outdoors and has exposure to all weather conditions, and may be exposed to chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, and poor ventilation. Will also work around mechanical, electrical, heat and explosive hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities:





  • Maintains accurate maintenance records.





  • Installation of new production machinery.





  • Responsible for completing all daily, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities as assigned with regards to food safety and the reduction of equipment failures.





  • Responds to production needs and troubleshoots machines and machine/line control schemes, performs repairs and preventative maintenance on production and non-production equipment. Provides both production and maintenance supervision with timely follow-up communication on above repairs.





  • Works with other members of Maintenance to contribute improvements to/update all PM procedures.





  • Works with other members of Maintenance to prioritize maintenance jobs, help collect and analyze downtime information, gives input on all maintenance opportunities to improve plant operations.





  • Supervise work of outside contractors





  • Follows all personal and food safety requirements, especially those with respect to SQF guidelines.





  • Maintains clean and orderly tools, and work area and contributes to the department 5S initiative.





  • Locates problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.





Qualifications:




  • Minimum of a High School education





  • Familiar with SQF, FDA, and OSHA requirements





  • 4 years machine maintenance experience





  • 2 years of Fanuc robot experience





  • Ability to Mig and/or Tig Weld and/or Industrial electrician (480V systems)





Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Prior experience with electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.





  • Industrial Electrician 120V/480V





  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.





Preferred Skills:




  • 2 year technical degree or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance and/or equivalent combination or education and experience.





  • Prefer 4 years' experience as a general type of maintenance technician in the food packaging industry.





  • Experience working on Ishida baggers or bagging equipment.





  • Experience working with RBS Baking System





  • Experience working with spray Dynamics Tanks Skid





  • Experience working on PSG Lee Packaging Machine





  • Experience working with Pearson and Lantech Case Erectors





  • Robotics and control experience





  • Troubleshoot various equipment end of arm tooling - robot arm





  • Robot controller setup and configuration





  • Setup and verify robot zoning





Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands to arms; talk to hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
