The Pre-Sales Manager is a product and market specialist, working within the sales team in the Payments segment. The role will involve working closely with prospects, clients, FIS's sales, delivery services and product management in order to manage client requirements and expectations throughout the sales process and to define and communicate the most suitable solutions.

This will be a senior position within the organisation and will have direct input into the product management group and will have responsibilities for developing strategies to improve solution presentation and efficiencies within the team.

The Pre-Sales Manager is a highly motivated individual who can successfully work with all levels in an organization to successfully deliver key messages about the FIS solution suite via presentation and product demonstration.

What you will be doing

The Pre-Sales Manager primary role is to lead and deliver complex software and consulting sales. The role primarily involves working within a local and remote team to understand client requirements, prepare proposals, deliver product demonstrations, workshops and define and shape solutions incorporating both product and consulting.

  • Lead a global Pre-Sales team through all phases of the sales process from initial qualification through to account management
  • Develop and lead a strategy for consistent and repeatable high quality sales engagements
  • Deliver sales presentations and solution demonstrations, and provide coverage at annual trade shows and client events
  • Provide technical and functional expertise in the pre-sales process in collaboration with sales team
  • Identify and qualify clients' business and functional requirements in order to obtain initial project estimates, identify solution gaps after gathering clients' requirements and communicate back to product management
  • Lead and respond to RFI's / RFP / client queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop new business opportunities and interface with the product management, professional services, support and development organizations
  • As a market expert, be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives; understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market, read trade and industry journals to keep abreast of industry thoughts and initiatives.
  • Develop thought leadership positions for FIS within the global market
  • Have responsibility for input into the product management group for prospect and market requirements

What you bring:

  • Finance / IT degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in presenting solutions
  • Outstanding presentation abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels within a client's organization from users to executive leaders
  • Ability to quickly establish key facts, requirements to evaluate and propose solutions to business problems or processes
  • Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements
  • Good grasp of technology and technical concepts
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Understanding of the entire sales cycle, from market research through to contract signing
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Added bonus if you have:

  • Exposure to SQL Server and Crystal Reports
  • Accounting knowledge and experience

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $114,880.00 - $189,560.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
