Job Description

Job Summary

The Procurement Supervisor in our Outsourcing operations is responsible for supervising and directing procurement buyers to effectively execute outsourcing orders in accordance with best in class purchasing processes and solutions. Typical Activities:

* Directing Category Buyers on day to day activities and process improvements.

* Identifying, Participating, and leading continuous improvement efforts across Sourcing

related areas.

* Coach, train, and develop Category Buyers, including regular performance reviews

Responsibilities

  • Direct Category Buyers to:
  • Create and manage outsourcing PO's with suppliers
  • Execute better buying practices to reduce purchasing costs
  • Comply with all procurement procedures and policies
  • Meet/exceed service levels while meeting department budget requirements
  • Identify, Participate, and at times, lead continuous improvement efforts across Sourcing related areas.
  • Develop and implement cost savings strategies that align with Sourcing goals and objectives.
  • Coach, train, and develop Category Buyers, including regular performance reviews.
  • Monitor required tasks and ensure workload is distributed as appropriate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and approve employee work hours, overtime, vacation hours and FMLA, as needed.
  • Develop and manage all reporting related to departmental metrics.

Qualifications

Skills and Certifications

  • Education-B.S. in Business or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years in purchasing preferred
  • Skills should include
    • Strong oral and written communications
    • Supervisory experience
    • Strong computer skills; experience with Smartsheet, Google Suite, Ariba, SAP, and MS
    • Excel is a plus
    • Effective negotiation skills
    • Analytical at a detailed level
    • Ability to work well with people in an atmosphere of cooperation and open communication.

Additional Information

Thenational pay range for this role is $57,700 - $95,000 / year. The payrange may beslightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance,maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
