Overview

Work closely with Esri's Partners and customers to implement proven IT/GIS strategies for their platform architectures, help evangelize the utilization of GIS based on mission results and business value and support the development of a multi-year strategic vision for critical clients. Consult with Partners and customers to understand business needs and guide them on how to best apply Esri products/technology.

ArcGIS provides contextual tools for mapping and spatial reasoning so users can explore data and share location-based insights. Esri's Professional Services Division plays a crucial role in the innovation of the ArcGIS enterprise mapping and analytics platform. Responsibilities



  • Be a thought leader.Advise Partners and customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to help them make better decisions. Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies.
  • Understand our customers and know their business.Understand howEsri'stechnology can help Partners and customers be more successful. Be familiar with key business processes in state and local governments, public safety, utilities, and commercial solution providers.
  • Enable our Partners and customers to be successful.Work closely with Partners and customers to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGISsystem. Provide configuration guidance and best practices to customers and understand howEsri'stechnology enables the customer's stated vision. Collaborate with Partner and customer IT organizations to align their technical objectives and business goals withEsri'stechnologyenterprise.
  • Develop and grow business.Provide advisory support toward forward thinking proactive technology solutioning development and implementation patterns with new and existing customers. Collaborate withEsri'spractice managers and marketing and sales teams to develop new business.Bepart of actively shaping the futureusing advanced Esri products and cutting-edge technology including enterprise GIS, developer technologies, real-time GIS, and advanced spatial analytics.


Requirements



  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGISenterprise(desktop, server, and online)
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical stakeholders, project managers or customers
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate and translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
  • Be self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, team-oriented, and creative
  • Confidently provide leadership amongst and to peers, management and customers. Facilitate meetings and discussion to share "art of the possible" solutions with clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn
  • You thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
  • US citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's in geography, computer science, business administration, GIS, or a related STEM field


Recommended Qualifications



  • Master's in geography, computer science, business administration, GIS, or a related STEM field
  • Experience with project management principles including identifying initiatives, developing scopes of work and task tracking
  • Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practicesincluding system integration patterns
  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$74,880 $150,280 USD
