The Dean's Office within the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Faculty Affairs Associate. The School of Engineering and Applied Science consists of 9 departments across the field of engineering. The school has seen tremendous growth in student population and faculty in recent years. Reporting to the Director of Faculty Affairs, the Faculty Affairs Associate will work closely with the departmental staff on faculty lifecycle processes. Responsibilities: The Faculty Affairs Associate has responsibilities that are supportive of the Director of Faculty Affairs and the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have good problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize when a problem should be escalated within the team. Preferred Qualifications:

The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
