The School of Education and Human Development is seeking a Research Specialist to supportthe curriculum of Special Education. Position Duties include but not limited to:
This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year. For more information, refer to the Wage Employment link: http://uvapolicy.virginia.edu/policy/HRM-029" MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A bachelors degree or equivalent is required, completed coursework at graduate level is preferred. At least one year of experience performing direct work in a K-12 or post-secondary educational setting or an out-of-school setting such as a summer camp or an after-school program is preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population are essential. Education: Bachelor's degree in related field. Experience: None. Licensure: None. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
