Seeking a self-motivated clinician and lifelong learner with a desire to utilize their skills providing direct patient care in the setting of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The qualified candidate will act as a patient advocate for clients who are experiencing wounds and other conditions that impact their quality of life. The clinician will create long-term relationships with patients and families while coordinating care between patients and other caregivers and reviewing utilization of this premium resource for efficacy of treatment. The qualified candidate will identify areas for improvement in the setting, and provide expert care for hyperbarics while maintaining a safe environment. Training will be provided for this niche role to determine appropriate candidates for hyperbaric therapy, preparing patients for treatment, assisting with scheduling and acting as a resource for patients and families as they undergo treatment. Other duties will include performing transcutaneous oximetry procedures to assist in evaluation of vascular compromise as well as candidacy for hyperbaric treatment. A capable clinician who is willing to learn the needed skills and provide education to staff, patients and families. Someone who is interested in research to further knowledge in the field is also a plus. An interest in wound care, oncology experience or urological nursing may be helpful, but not required.

Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: 1 year of relevant experience. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
