The UVA Cancer Center is seeking an Outreach and Navigation Specialist in Danville Va. This position will work in conjunction with the staff, faculty and the community to support efforts related t community outreach and engagement and research in cancer control. This includes establishing, maintaining and cultivating positive long-term relationships with community partners, coordinating and implementing community cancer prevention and risk reduction education and cancer screening programs, and assisting with building capacity for community research. Minimum Requirements Preferred Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in public health or a related field. Experience:
Physical Demands This position is based Danville, Virginia. Moderate travel throughout the region and quarterly travel to Charlottesville required. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
