Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers. Operates welding machines and other auxiliary machines and equipment utilizing speed, accuracy and safe operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
* Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
* Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
* Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
* Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers .
* Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
* Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
* Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
* Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Willing to work in a hot environment.
2. Ability to follow heat treat operating procedures and monitor that the furnace is operating.
3. Ability to mig/tig and stick weld
4. Ability to check drawings or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures and determines sequence of operations.
5. Ability to set up fixture of feeding device, starts machine, and engages feed for welding equipment.
6. Observes operation of welding equipment and verifies conformance of the welded work piece to design specifications and quality standards.
7. Willingness to work as a team member in Norris Tooling Plant.
8. Willingness to work overtime when needed

* Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience, Competencies and Education
Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
* Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
* Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
* Reasoning Ability
Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
