Position Summary

Organization: Southwest Research and Information Center

Location: 105 Stanford SE Albuquerque 87196

An Off Campus Work Study Position - MUST have a Work Study Award.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Office related clerical duties such as:
Answering phones
Copying as needed
Filing/sorting newspaper clippings and magazines
Responding to requests for information - both general and specific

Other non-clerical duties:
Maintenance of our library - data entry and filing
Scanning/archiving various historical documents
Some research opportunities on an "as needed" basis
When possible, and if desired, assist staff in field work/meetings in Albuquerque and around New Mexico (involves data gathering, transcription, and/or photography)
Other duties as assigned

Hours per week: 10-28

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND/OR ABILITIES:

Good phone skills, typing, and basic computer knowledge of MS Word/Access/Excel

This position requires responsibility and initiative.
