About the Role: Data/Analytics Engineer

Vectra's Business Operations organization is responsible for operationally supporting revenue delivery and customer satisfaction across our fast-growing global customer base. To support growth, we are looking for a Data/Analytics Engineer who can set up and run data infrastructure for all GTM data. You will serve both as a skilled architect for the data infrastructure and as an analyst setting up business reports and dashboards for the business. You'll be responsible for building and optimizing end to end data pipelines on modern data stack and reporting used by all parts of the business. This role will require hiring and managing remote data management resources.

What you will do:



  • Move and transform data from various sources so that it can be easily analyzed, visualized, and acted upon by a senior data analyst or business user
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using SQL and DBT. Build, automate, deploy and maintain data models and workflows. Develop and maintain documentation for data models, workflows, and processes
  • Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Implement CI/CD practices for version control and automated deployments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, collecting requirements and writing the code that results in secure, timely, accurate, trusted, and extensible data models

  • Leverage tools (including Python Boto3/Botocore, Pandas) for scripting, data processing, and automation tasks in AWS Lambda. Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and IAM to manage and secure data infrastructure.
  • Proactively perform data exploration and analytical deep dives to discover insights or future opportunities
  • Deliver data insights and work towards adoption through tools (e.g. dashboards, self-serve reporting), memos and presentations (Tableau etc.)
  • Collaborate with business and data analysts to model data structures that meet business requirements.



Requirements:



  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an analytics engineer, data analyst, data engineer, or equivalent
  • Significant experience in data modeling and data warehouse architecture
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience working with dbt
  • Business acumen and experience with one or more functional areas such as Product, GTM, Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience
  • Exceptional verbal, written and listening skills and the ability to bring consensus and communicate with a diverse audience


Tool experience preferred:



  • SQL Snowflake preferred, DBT: position utilizes Cloud, but Core experience is great, Fivetran: 2+ years of experience, Data Warehousing, Data Lake (AWS S3), GitHub, Performance Tuning & Optimization + Governance, Data Modeling tools, BI Visualization (Tableau/Looker/etc)

Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate's location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.
