M1 is looking for a Project Engineer with the following knowledge and experience:
* Project Planning and Coordination:
o Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
o Formulate project parameters, assign responsibilities to the most capable employees, and monitor
the project team.
o Develop project plans, statements of work, risk assessments, and schedules.
o Determine requirements to aid in developing project plans, statements of work, risk assessments,
project scheduling, and final inspections for facility-related projects.
o Schedule multiple projects with various contractors across different disciplines.
* Client Interaction and Representation:
o Interact with clients, interpret their needs and requirements, and represent them in the field.
o Act as a liaison for interdepartmental and external government customers.
* Quality Control and Compliance:
o Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, and report
on the project's status.
o Ensure all projects meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations (NFPA, ADA,
OSHA).
o Conduct final inspections and provide quality assurance for both internal and external projects.
o Establish field test methods and monitor the quality of those tests.
o Provide quality assurance of all facility-related projects, whether internal or external.
* Team Collaboration and Leadership:
o Cooperate and communicate with the project manager and other project participants.
o Collaborate with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and maintain project
profitability.
o Assemble cross-functional teams, lead team members, and execute plans for facility projects.
* Technical and Administrative Duties:
o Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs of process equipment, facility damage, or repairs.
o Review, submit, and execute work orders for facility repairs, safety compliance, and process
improvements.
o Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment.
o Create frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
o Review engineering tasks and initiate necessary corrective actions.
o Develop and sustain policies and procedures for the facility department.
o Participate in planning, evaluations, and reviews of DPW, Corp of Engineer, and IMCOM
construction projects.
o Establish priorities of projects based upon company goals and objectives.
* Communication and Reporting:
o Develop and present briefings to upper management, directors, or government officials.
o Provide subject matter expert reviews of proposals, assist in proposal evaluations, source selection
criteria, performance oversight of subcontractors, invoice approval, and contract closeouts.
o Ensure M1 Performance Work Statement Requirements are operated to the letter of the contract.
* Government and
Contract Oversight:
o Work closely with government entities and have contract oversight by ACLC.
o Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and government regulations.
o Operate and execute functions to support government requirements while operating within the
limitations the established PWS.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements:
o A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field/working towards earning.
o A valid engineering license. Must be acquired within 4 years
o 4 or more years' field and project/facilities planning experience.
o Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
o Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Projects, and PowerPoint.
o Project Management Certification (PMP) is desired.
o Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
o Excellent project management and supervision skills.
o Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
o Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by PWS.
o Ability to move about inside and outside aircraft hangars, shops, and buildings.
o Self-motivated, reliable, and able to deal with short suspense and timelines in a professional
manner.
