Mechanical Engineering Intern

You will join our team for a 6-month project to design optical coating related tooling and process hardware to support new product development. You will gain experience using CAD modeling software, develop skills in designing for manufacturability and robust function in production environment. Additionally, you will support optical metrology stations such as our laser photometer and ellipsometer by designing hardware for mechanical positioning of optical components to improve its measurement accuracy. These activities will involve working in collaborative team environment with R&D and manufacturing engineers to successfully design, improve and fabricate process hardware assemblies.

• Major or study in Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc or M.Sc.
• Ideal candidate will be in their 3rd or 4th year of studies
• Hands-on work or project using CAD simulation tools
• Able to think and act independently to present ideas and new concepts into various engineering groups
• Excellent communication and ability to work in team environment with people at all levels.

Pay Range:

$25-45/hour
