Documentation Specialist - 100% Remote Opportunity

Genesis10 is seeking a Documentation Specialist for a contract position with our client. This opportunity will be 100% Remote.

The Documentation Specialist follows writing standards, guidelines, and best practices to create and update complex documentation and process flows. This position works with business area subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the content is accurate, meets the needs of the SME, and is easy to understand.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational areas to understand and assess the impacts of migrating to a new claims processing platform.
  • Document new processes and create clear, comprehensive instructions for team members.
  • Utilize SharePoint and/or Confluence to organize and share documentation effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition to new processes.
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement and recommend best practices for operational efficiency.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of products, services, processes, and tools to translate information received into easy-to-understand content
  • Create, update, and archive complex documentation and process flows by writing standards and business practices
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members, SMEs, and leadership to support accuracy.
  • Review and approve material for standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. Review and approve edits or changes made to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
  • Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content and methods of reproduction and binding. Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
  • Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Strong knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite - specifically MS Word.
  • Proven experience in documentation, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and concise documentation.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Confluence is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.



Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $35.00 - 40.00.

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire positions with various rate ranges.
