  • Design of rail track and support infrastructure for greenfield and brownfield clients.
  • Actively engage with internal and external clients and coordinate the work with other disciplines.
  • Responsible for development of design criteria and construction specifications.
  • Undertake, supervise, and provide expert technical mentorship on analysis, modelling, reports, design, and drawings for railroad track engineering design.
  • Oversee preparation of quantity take-offs and assist in the preparation of capital cost estimates.
  • Attend project meetings and liaise with project team members, clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and regulatory and environmental approval agencies.
  • Actively encourage and support a safety-oriented culture.
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications



  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum 10 years prior experience in railroad track design with a Class 1 Railroad and or engineering and design firm.
  • Able to direct rail design activities and provide expert guidance in key rail planning scopes.
  • Conversant with American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of Way Association standards and Class 1 Railroad track design standards.

The Associate Technical Consultant, Infrastructure is a full-time position with flexibility around the location of the role. This role is for a civil engineer that will support our regional and global rail infrastructure business.
