BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Manager, Radiology Services will assist in directing the operational, financial, and personnel activities of radiology, radiation, oncology, and nuclear medicine departments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the preparation of the department budget. Develop, implement, and monitor workload standards and productivity reports to ensure targets are met. Ensure all employees meet and maintain the department criteria and are aligned with MU Health Care mission and goals. Ensure departmental quality assurance programs are in place and being monitored on a routine basis. Identify and evaluate new or improved technology/equipment selection, maintain equipment, and make recommendations for improvements. Monitor the department's ability to provide excellent customer service and ensure staff knows how to provide recovery in instances where warranted. Participate in the interview process, select, plan, and assign work to staff accordingly. Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care. Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: None SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General supervision is received from the Director, Radiology Services. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Administrative supervision is exercised over staff in the radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine departments. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
See a comprehensive list of benefits here. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in health care management or radiology. Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting with Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience. ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
