Position Summary

Work with Global IT to develop IT initiatives that are fit for purpose and provide continuous improvement to the US business. Provide direct support to the IT Infrastructure Team and act as the final escalation point for major issues. Work with all members of the IT team to define and implement processes, procedures, projects and systems to enhance the IT capabilities for the organization. This will require the occupant to develop working relationships with senior management, peers and other functional areas within the business. Assist the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure with budgeting and future planning for key initiatives and strategies related to our Infrastructure capabilities.



Responsibilities

    Evaluate technology, processes and procedures to ensure required business outcome and drive efficiency.
  • Provide direct support to the IT Infrastructure Team, offshore resources and act as a final escalation point for major issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of priority issues and implement proactive fixes as required.
  • Analyze existing working practices, identify potential areas for improvement and manage improvement projects.
  • Project Delivery - Responsible for and manage the delivery of approved IT initiatives.
  • Governance - Ensure Information Technology and management are in-line with agreed strategy and policy. Working with Internal Audit, Global Technology Risk team, Risk and Compliance Group and IT Compliance Manager to ensure SOX and Description % of Time Spent

  • Governance - Ensure Information Technology and management are in-line with agreed strategy and policy. Working with Internal Audit, Global Technology Risk team, Risk and Compliance Group and IT Compliance Manager to ensure SOX and data security compliance.
  • Strategy - Working with the Sr. Manager, Infrastructure to provide input on strategic IT operations and infrastructure decisions including major sourcing decisions, technology selections, make versus buy versus rent, use of cloud.
  • Vendor Management - Assist the with the management of the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts. This is to be conducted within the guidelines set by Sr. Manager IT Infrastructure.
  • Budget - Work closely with Sr. Manager IT Infrastructure to plan and maintain the annual IT budget and any associated funds.
  • Reporting - Provide Weekly status reporting as required to management.


Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to drive results.
  • Excellent project management, ITIL aligned frameworks/processes skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • The ability to use initiative and work proactively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including highly developed communication skills in all forms.
  • Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems and suggest solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical, business and executive staff (proposals, business communication, marketing writing).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, project management and client relation skills are essential.
  • Must be a detail oriented, analytical and an independent thinker. Must strive for results.
  • Experience writing detailed business requirements and business proposals for technology projects.
  • 8+ years of expert experience working across multiple platforms and technologies with a proven ability to design and implement scalable cost-effective solutions.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience designing Cloud (Azure) environment from ground up including implementing Server, Network and Security best practices.
  • 3+ years experience in creating and maintaining architecture frameworks, standards, policies and processes.
  • Knowledge of core platforms: Active Directory, VMware ESXi, Hyperconverged compute & storage, local & cloud backup.
  • Experience in influencing others and obtaining consensus for technical solution designs.
  • Project Management fundamentals.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • IT process and procedure documentation.
