Overview

LMI seeks a Logistics Analyst to support a federal program management office in the National Capital Region. This position is located at the client's site in Tucson, AZ and cannot be performed remotely. Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

You will support life cycle management and sustainment for our client's portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations, and other efforts. You will apply your skills in integrated logistics support (ILS) principles to create systems that last longer, require less support, and reduce overall life-cycle costs. In addition, you will provide ILS input in the development of requirements for new systems, in the review of current program documentation, during environmental and real estate planning, in the systems engineering process, and in the development of training documentation. Other responsibilities include:

    Review prime contractor ILS deliverables for adequacy
  • Collect, monitor, and track deployed system performance
  • Support physical inspections and physical checkout of border security systems
  • Identify and help to resolve operating and support deficiencies
  • Develop strategies to optimize system performance
  • Participate in system configuration control boards (CCBs) and support planning and implementation of system engineering changes
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings by developing briefing materials, meeting agendas, and minutes and tracking action items to resolution
  • Support integrated logistics support management team (ILSMT) and working group (ILSWG) sessions
  • Works with designated the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), to stay abreast of contract changes, issues, and challenges
  • Prepare documents in support of COR to facilitate government acceptance of equipment, repairs, services, and other contract deliverables
  • Input, query, and analyze data from numerous CBP database sources, and prepare reports as requested


Qualifications

  • 4+ years combined of systems logistics, lifecycle management, or sustainment experience and a bachelor's degree; or 7+ years combined of systems logistics, lifecycle management, or sustainment experience
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications
  • Current active U.S. Customs and Border Protection Public Trust clearance preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively solve problems
  • Ability to effectively gather and validate requirements
  • Ability to effectively monitor contract technical performance
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • Possess technical and business writing skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and presentation skills
  • DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired
  • Previous work with CBP's Integrated Systems Tower (IST), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), and/or Mobile Systems portfolios is a plus
  • Preferred skill in in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and SharePoint, with emphasis on analytical and presentation functions of each application
