As a Talent Engagement Specialist, you are required to quickly engage with job seekers to jump start their job search efforts. Provide up front solutions for a fast track to employment, must understand and impart information to job seekers on current labor market trends, and quickly and efficiently determine the level of need for services. Develops strong and positive relationships by assisting job seekers achieve favorable outcomes for job seekers who are seeking services from Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas.

Job Description

* Greets and pre-screen job seekers to determine employment eligibility and assess their job search needs.

* Provide just-in-time advice or on-the-spot solutions, using your knowledge of current labor market trends, job search resources and tools.

* Coaches job seekers by helping them navigate all available resources such as Traitify, an assessment tool, WorkInTexas, the recruiting system for the workforce center, create and/or update their resume using WIT and create a social medial presence using LinkedIn.

* Refers job seekers to other team members who can provide them with more in-depth workforce services assistance.

* Demonstrates exemplary customer service to all job seekers.

* Multi-tasks by providing service to multiple job seekers simultaneously while being fully conscious of their time demands as well as your own.

* Builds and maintain strong relationships with job seekers, striving for excellence in the customer engagement experience.

* Interviews clients, and may use assessment tools, to assess education experience, skills, interest, and other relevant factors to fully explore clients career development opportunities and possible training needs.

* Identifies and responds to business needs, proposes solutions to human resource challenges, manages and coordinates delivery of services, and promotes the services and programs of Equus Workforce Solutions and partner agencies.

* Provides advanced-level professional support for Workforce Development programs such as examining, inspecting, investigating, tracking of trends, and/or researching of program activities and career service aspirations.

* Assists in hiring activities such as job fairs either in the Career Center or employer's local business or selected location.

* Interacts simultaneously with clients and WIT and/or TWIST database(s) to capture, record and access information.

* Assists applicants in developing quality WIT applications for employment by securing and recording information reflecting work qualifications based on experience, training, skills, abilities, interests and other factors relevant to proper selection for referral to suitable job openings; assigns proper occupational codes.

* Performs employment counseling and/or case management of applicants who present unusual placement and/or job adjustment challenges, especially during periods of high unemployment and stressed economic conditions.

Qualifications

* High School diploma and at least two years' experience in service area. Must possess strong computer skills, with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Bilingual candidates preferred.

* Extremely proactive, organized, responsible and proven ability to work well with a team.

* High-energy, self-starter; self-directed and self-motivated.

* Solid business acumen, strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Excellent listening skills to assess job seeker needs and offer quality job matching or referrals to other services.

* Ability to use Workforce Solutions assessment tools, such as typing tests, spelling tests, etc. to effectively screen candidates.

* Ability to conduct most job tasks in an open work environment, with a laptop computer, and during face-to-face meetings with job seekers.

* Ability to handle sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality.

* Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with management, co-workers, workers from other programs and employers.

Position is Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Starting pay is: $19.76 per hour.
