Position Highlights Integral member of the International Student Services (ISS) team, serving as front-line liaison who will effectively communicate information to students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, external agencies, international guests, and the general public in a diverse cultural environment. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic office serving the needs of over 3000 international students from over 100 countries. This individual is responsible for in-person services Monday-Friday, 8-5 pm.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

In conjunction with other front desk staff, manages the following front office operations:

  • Serving as the initial contact person for all in-person, phone and
    email inquiries received from students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni,
    external agencies, international guests, and the general public
  • Directing students to appropriate e-forms and providing updates
    regarding status of submitted requests through MyGlobal/Sunapsis
  • Providing referrals for ISS advising, International Admissions and
    International Faculty and Scholars offices and other UArizona staff
  • Managing ISS general email account and general office phone line
  • Tracking international student visits received at the front desk through MyGlobal/Sunapsis
  • Supervising front desk student worker(s) including hiring, scheduling, time reporting, training, and task assignment
  • Reviewing and processing select student requests (examples: Change of Address, e-Letters of Invitation, Ride Requests)
  • Assisting with international student event support as needed
  • Managing office supply orders and building facility requests

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND one year experience working directly with international students OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Direct customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in office setting.
