Position Details:

  • 4 day - 10hr shifts, Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 4:15pm

What You Will Do:

  • Scan material as it is moved from one location to another for proper inventory tracking.

  • Keep machine operators supplied with raw material as well as move finished products away from machine operators.

  • The Material Handler sometimes works in very tight areas; therefor special attention must be paid to the safe operation of the sideloader.

  • General inspection of the sideloader.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Use of common shop tools, such as calipers, tape measure, and calculator, are required.

  • Regular use of sideloader and forklift trucks

  • Regular use of a hoist

  • Unload material received from various trucks including long bed and boxed trucks.

  • Verify material received against packing list.

  • Inspect material for defects and damage.

  • Complete RMA and work with Quality to resolve with the vendor.

  • Stock incoming material in racks for storage

  • Pull material based on Work Orders received.

  • Ensure machine operators can work with material available when needed.

  • Suggest substitute material, when available

  • Maintain accurate inventory by correctly completing issue and receipt tickets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Drug and alcohol test

  • Criminal background check

  • Education and certification check

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 or more years of relevant experience

  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Computer data entry

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Commitment to work overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend manufacturing documents related to the job and all safety notifications.

  • Must have the ability to work in a non-controlled work environment.

  • Must be a reliable worker with good work references, including a solid attendance history, and must work required overtime, including weekends, during times of increased business.

  • Other skill sets and work histories can be considered as meeting some of the above requirements and on-the-job training will be provided as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day is a requirement of the job.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Color contrast eye examinations are required to be completed at the employer's discretion or due to requirement to ensure team members maintain optimal visual acuity, which is crucial for accurate performance of the responsibilities of this position.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material. The employee will also reach with arms and hands as needed.

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
