About the Team/Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sr. Compliance Analyst to join our compliance team at WEX Bank. Reporting to the Regulatory Compliance Manager, the Sr. Compliance Analyst will provide support executioning the Bank's compliance management program, including risk assessments, compliance procedures, issues management, complaint administration, support of the third party risk management procedures and/or the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). The incumbent will provide technical guidance and partnership with the lines of business to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures and regulatory expectations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
How you'll make an impact Support the complaint management process, ensuring complaints are logged, tracked, and resolved and reported in a timely and compliant manner.
Assist with the issues management process, including documentation, reporting and the development and tracking of remediation plans executing on relevant procedures. Assist in the preparation of reports to senior management summarizing key issues and complaint trends. Collaborate with the compliance team and business units to develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures. Assist in conducting compliance risk assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Maintain and build understanding of relevant industry standards, best practices, and technologies; assess the impacts to the Bank, its products and control environment, and collaborate with leadership to enhance or implement controls that effectively mitigate risk.
Promote a desired compliance-aware culture within the Bank and affiliates while in parallel driving adoption of Bank culture. Support a risk based compliance risk management framework to include risk assessment, training, testing, and reporting, etc. The following provides additional insight into the role's responsibilities and duties, but is not exhaustive. Builds strong relationships of trust with various stakeholders.
Identify risks and enhance various compliance related processes as part of strengthening WEX Bank's overall CMS. Provide guidance and support to the compliance team and other business units as needed on emerging regulatory developments. Support internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and any necessary remediation efforts. Perform other duties as assigned by the Regulatory Compliance Manager. Experience You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in bank regulatory compliance. Experience working with external bank examiners Compliance experience with cards and corporate payments. Ability to analyze and interpret information, exercise judgment, and be flexible in job duties and assignments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or equivalent certification (preferred). Compensation and Benefits. The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
