Maintenance Technician
Gorman & Company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to work with our team at our residential properties in Madison, WI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Satisfy service requests such as light electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC/PTAC maintenance, etc.
- Prepare apartments for turnover, may include painting, appliance repair/replacement, plumbing, lock changes, etc.
- Manage curb appeal by inspecting and cleaning grounds and buildings.
- Assist with snow removal as needed.
- Complete on-call emergency maintenance.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Ability to work on call hours, if needed.
- Ability to travel between properties.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing a variety of items such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, standard appliances and pool maintenance (if applicable).
- Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
- Dependable and strong work ethic.
- Good safety habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
