Professor (Open Rank) - Applied Linguistics or Second Language Acquis. 38967BR CMLL Position Description The Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for an associate or advanced assistant professor of applied linguistics or second language acquisition to begin September 1, 2025. About the Department/School/Area The Applied Linguistics Master of Arts program in the Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures is a vibrant program with graduate students from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America. CMLL consists of a dynamic and diverse community from the fields of American Sign Language, Applied Linguistics, Arabic, Classics (which includes Archaeology, Greek, and Latin), English as a Second Language, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Major/Essential Functions In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.
