About the team:

We're a team of around 200 Project Managers who support the Professional Services team within our Capital Markets organization. Our Professional Services team brings technical expertise and industry knowledge to our clients through consulting services, integration, and managed services that accelerate business growth. About the role:

As a Project Manager II, you'll use best-in-breed PM tools and processes to help us deliver products that are changing the world of fintech. You'll manage high-profile and complex projects, facing off to our external clients and internal stakeholders. You'll help onboard clients to Trading and Asset software products while focusing on project governance and metric-tracking.

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for all aspects of end-to-end project delivery.

  • Managing project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, and necessary contacts.

  • Translating business scope and objectives into an overall project plan.

  • Executing project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.

  • Working with product development, sales, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinating activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client organizations to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.

  • Managing project budgets, implementing financial management processes needed.

  • Developing mitigation strategies for risks and issues, translate into concrete steps and assign responsibilities to various team members and/or other project managers.

  • Advising clients on the best course of action while considering cost, effort, risk and potential outcomes.

  • Planning and coordinating all commercial and monetary aspects of the project lifecycle including, but not limited to, budgeting through analysis of project costs and monitoring & controlling budget and expenses

Preferred Location: Jacksonville, FL

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or similar.

  • A CAPM, PMP, Prince or similar Project Manager certification.

  • 5+ years of project management experience in delivering financial software implementations, leading 200+ days projects successfully.

  • Commercial project management experience including budgeting through analysis of project costs.

  • Experience in a Professional Services or Consulting Practice is preferred.

  • Experience managing software implementations, specifically in the FinTech or Capital Markets domain.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is required.

  • Advanced experience with Planview, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).

  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as various IT project methodologies and life cycles.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $84,720.00 - $142,320.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
