Job Title:
Senior Android Developer (Contract hybrid position)

We are seeking a talented and driven Android Mobile Developer
to join our dynamic application engineering team in an onsite, contract-to-hire
position. In this role, you will lead the development and enhancement of cutting-edge Android applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and user-friendly solutions. You will also be responsible for optimizing architecture and ensuring high-quality performance throughout the entire application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in line with best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in all phases of the application lifecycle, including concept, design, development, testing, and maintenance.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure robustness, reliability, and application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Follow mobile development best practices to ensure high-quality code and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection guidelines for mobile applications.


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in native mobile app development.
  • Extensive experience in native Android development; familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as iOS, Flutter, or React Native is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin
    and Java
    with experience in Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience building and maintaining Android libraries using Gradle/Maven.
  • Proficient in unit testing and automated testing using tools like Espresso.
  • Deep understanding of Android SDK, UI design principles, and mobile app design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture, etc.).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party APIs.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems like Git
    and knowledge of CI/CD
    practices.
  • Experience collaborating with designers and UX experts to create exceptional user experiences.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jenkins
    and Fastlane
    for CI/CD and automation.


Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of CI/CD
    principles and Agile
    methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of UX best practices, interactive design principles, and mobile accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth, OAuth 2.0, and Android-specific external accessory integrations.
  • Familiarity with Google Play
    submission policies and guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
