Contract Employee Health Registered Nurse (RN)
needed for a full-time temporary
contract
opportunity with Yoh's client located in Santa Monica, CA.
This position is to cover the Employee Health Department for at least 3 months with potential for extension. Clinic assists with medical screenings for new and existing employees. Shifts are Monday-Friday, typically 7:30am - 4:00pm.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
- Minimum three (3) years' experience as a Nurse preferred
- Preferred: previous experience in at least one of the following: Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections, and/or Family Medicine
- Recent clinical experience and comfortable with drawing blood
What You'll Be Doing:
- Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Provide health promotion and wellness materials/information
- Provide medical testing such as EKGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
- TB (PPD) testing
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) and Respirator Fit Testing (RFT)
- Maintain employee health records for the entire facility
- Answer phones and assist with questions
- Administer vaccinations
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BLS certified
- Computer savvy (including prior EMR use)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Immunization/titer records for: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, and Hep B series
- TB (PPD) test from within the last 90 days or QuantiFeron Gold within the last year
