Job Description: Summary: Barr is seeking a structural engineer to join our team and work with multidisciplinary project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise. Project assignments may include design and analysis of structural systems, project management, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. Clients will primarily consist of mining, manufacturing, power, refinery, and other industrial companies. Work may require short-term out-of-town work assignments. This individual will also have the opportunity to play a role in day-to-day client service and business development as a key part of the structural engineering team in Barr's Hibbing, Minnesota, office. Business development activities may include building and maintaining client relationships, tracking marketing leads and project opportunities, developing proposals and presentations, and networking and informing clients of the full range of Barr's capabilities. A hybrid or remote work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office; a remote arrangement refers to working primarily from a home office. This position is/can be based out of Barr's Hibbing, Minnesota, office. Remote arrangements will be considered based on candidate qualifications, location requirements, and Barr's needs. Colorado and Nevada Applicants Only: Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to 135,000 per year. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
