Job Description Summary

The Platform Manager within the Infrastructure Practice Group of Valuation and Advisory (V&A) works in conjunction with the Practice Lead to oversee the valuation process, operations management, and platform development for the practice group. This role focuses on improving the quality and timeliness of reports, increasing the overall consistency of V&A deliverables, and developing innovative solutions for infrastructure valuation. The Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of skilled professionals, managing operations, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment, and contributing to the strategic direction of the company's infrastructure valuation services.

Job Description

Responsible for the following:

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of real estate professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and teamwork.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice group's valuations, ensuring efficiency, adherence to industry standards and deadlines are achieved.
  • Implement and optimize appraisal processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve overall service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.

Platform Development

  • Lead the development and implementation of specialized platforms and tools for infrastructure asset analysis and valuation.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of infrastructure valuations.
  • Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure the seamless integration of new platforms with existing systems.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and methodologies in infrastructure analysis and assess their potential for implementation.

Client Engagement

  • Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their valuation needs and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with client relationship managers (SPOC) to identify opportunities for expanding client engagements.

Market Analysis

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting commercial real estate valuation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market analysis specific to infrastructure sector.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plan for growth and market expansion.
  • Identify opportunities for service enhancements, technology adoption, and process improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or Systems Engineering preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL, Six Sigma, MAI, or MRICS are highly valued.

Previous Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in technology-driven industries or infrastructure sectors.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis and implementation of large-scale operational platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Experience in real estate or infrastructure valuation is beneficial.

Targeted Competencies

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems analysis, business process reengineering, and change management.
  • Excellent team leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance metrics development.
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms and their application in business operations.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure markets and trends.
  • Understanding of USPAP, FIRREA, and other relevant regulatory requirements in the context of infrastructure valuation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
